Here, I try to translate Andreas Gabriel's letter:

I also have a laptop from CLEVO (alias Gericom Webboy, Baycom Worldbook II etc.) which uses the SIS630S Chipset.

Occasionally, I found a driver from smartlink for the internal winmodem on their ftp server. At least the driver for kernel v2.4.4 (slmdm-2.03-01_linux_2.4.4.src.rpm) works well on my system. The URL of this ftp server is ftp://ftp.smlink.com/public/linux.

For the other packages that you can find on this server, I don't know which kernel version they are made for.

The Readme-Files are out-of-date, however the installation description is ok. After calling

> rpm --rebuild slmdm-2.03-01_linux_2.4.4.src.rpm

one has to install the new packages located in /usr/src/.../RPMS/i386/ (lmdm-2.03-01_linux_2.4.4.i386.rpm and slmdm-amr-2.03-01_linux_2.4.4.i386.rpm).

You should not expect official support from smartlink because there is not one sentence on www.smlink.com mentioning Linux support.
